		<description>Thanks for sharing this!!  I miss DC so much and it&#039;s fun to read about your adventures.  I remember taking that same tour of &quot;The Pencil&quot; several times when I was a kid and I hope to be able to get my kids on the tour one day.  And the Metro is one of my favorites on the planet.  It is so nice (comparably).

I had to laugh reading your &quot;love&quot; of the heat.  I hate it too and cannot stay in it long without spurring on a migraine.  Growing up in the &quot;Greater Washington Area&quot; meant lots of summers hiding out in the house.  Every year they would have the Latino Festival on the Mall in some horrid summer month and even knowing how it would affect me, I would go with my high school boyfriend&#039;s mother (bf was in the Navy, wasn&#039;t I loyal, LOL?!) and I would get sick.  Go figure!
