I think you are such a lovely person, and I would have loved to have been able to call you on your birthday. I find that I spend most birthdays a little more self-absorbed and mumbling about making my own dinners and cakes. I think your cake plate is just perfect! I currently use a VERY large inverted bowl to cover my cakes.
