Hello?

I learned from my friend Sandy’s blog that yesterday was National Delurking Day. Well, since I missed it, I declare this to be a Delurking Weekend! Leave me a comment over the weekend – just to say “hi”! I’ll borrow from Sandy and give you something to write. Tell me who you are, how you found my blog and what kind of chocolate you like.

I like all kinds of chocolate. From the humble Hershey bar, to this dreamy, creamy stuff I found in Norway. I don’t know it’s name, but it has a cow on it. Somewhere I might have the wrapper from the bar I ate lo those many years ago and when I find it I’ll figure out a way to get me a whole stash. I might have found it at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot, but I’m not sure. I also love hot chocolate, especially chocolate-raspberry flavor. I will seriously consider selling my first born son (especially when he’s ornery) for some good white chocolate. I’ll happily consume Godiva chocolates. Another favorite is Joseph Schmidt’s truffles. I was introduced to both the man and his chocolates when I was living and working in San Francisco. (Oh how sad. In looking for a link to him, I see Joseph Schmidt’s confections were purchased by Hershey and has now ceased production. )He’s a really nice man and his chocolates are were divine.

Ok, enough about me and my love of chocolate – now tell me about you.

More Mac and Cheese, please!

  • I’m new to your blog, so I don’t know if it counts as lurking. I found you through Shanti’s blog, when she posted the Alphabet process. My favorite kind of chocolate is dark chocolate. I like the Ghirardelli squares, but they are pretty expensive, so I usually just eat Hershey’s–either kisses or the Special Dark bars. I don’t recall that I’ve ever had Godiva chocolates.

  • You know me 😛 . I found your blog bc you’re my friend and fellow member (before we both moved) of the St. Micheal’s homeschooling group and knitting club. I’ve lurked here for years bc every time I leave a comment I sound like a moron. I like Dove Dark Chocolates and can no longer even tolerate milk chocolate unless it is wrapped around peanut butter. Mmmm…. Reese’s.

  • I have commented before because I also found you through Shanti’s blog. You should be sure to share some chocolate with her for the increase in traffic. I now have you in my Google Reader list.

I make fudge, that is my favorite, but I am also very fond of Holl’s hand-made bon-bons found at http://www.h0lls.com (yes it is hOlls). they are very special. But truth be told, I will eat almost anything chocolate except Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. It is about the texture of the peanut butter inside.

  • I found your blog when I was moving to the DC metro area. I can’t remember if I’d been looking for bloggers at Bolling or if someone else refered me to your blog. We didn’t move to Bolling, but decided to camp out in VA instead. Of course then you moved away shortly after we arrived.
My husband makes the best dang brownies ever, so I’d have to say they are my favorite chocolate. Then again, I really like chocolate cake flavored with a bit of almond extract…that’s my divine.

  • You know me because I ALWAYs comment on your artwork and stuff.

Found you through Sonlight quite awhile ago and favorite chocolate is Dark. I’m not really picky. Right now I’m craving peanut m&m’s. 🙂 But anything will do. I have a Swiss friend who make s bonbons to die for.

We are house hunting right now and the house next to hers is available. I sooo wanted it and my Dear Husband would not even consider it, but then we found out the price and we’d never pay that anyhow. 🙁

  • I found you through the Sonlight forums. I hardly go there anymore, but I keep up with your blog. I live outside DC and love reading your blog!!

I love all chocolate. I liked baked goods (i.e. brownies) more than candy but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs at easter (and their spin-offs Chocolate Peanut Butter trees for Christmas, Chocolate Peanut Butter hearts for Valentines Day, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pumpkins for Halloween)

  • Hi Becky, and welcome! I love Ghiradelli, too. Even if trying to spell it makes my head hurt.

  • Rebecca – You’re right, I should send Shanti something yummy. I’m not sure the chocolate would survive the heat, so maybe some yummy yarn. Not that she has much knitting time right now, but she can always stroke it lovingly.

  • Hello, Susanna! How are you enjoying the DC area? How amazing are my powers of making it snow somewhere once I’ve moved away? Of course now that I’m in Colorado, we’ve not seen much snow here this year. We’re going on vacation soon. You’ll know when we’ve left because there is sure to be a newsworthy, record breaking blizzard.

  • Jani- I didn’t know you found me through Sonlight. Very cool. A chocolate-making-Swiss friend? You must have been very good in a past life. 😉

  • Nancy – we know each other through Facebook now! I don’t think I’ve ever had Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. I’ll have to look for them!

  • Well… I met you through Sonlight – I knew someone there was on Yongsan, so I introduced myself. You were generous enough to let me in on a very important secret: the identities of those wonderful ladies who lived near you. They will be my friends for life. Thank you for sharing.

But I didn’t realize that you had a blog, somehow, until you posted on Fb about your birthday giveaway, and I’m here to see more of you!

  • Believe it or not, Lorri, I found you on homeschoolblogger when my husband was thinking about going back in and I was looking for Army wives who homeschooled. I think I actually found you through homeschoolblogger’s search feature. You stopped by my blog to say ‘thanks for leaving a comment’. And the rest is bloggy history.

  • Hi there, Heather! I didn’t know that you didn’t know that I have a blog. I’m glad you found me.

  • Sandy – so that’s how we became blogging friends, back when I actually responded to my blog comments. But I’ve resolved to do better this year and from now on. You never know who is going to become a friend!
